Who we are

CCCD

The project is being led by the local community. The board of directors of CCCD, a Not for Profit company and Charity is made up of people from the local area who share a vision for the project. We have a variety of skills including experience in industry, local government and community engagement/relations. Our directors come from wide ranging fields, such as chair of governors, magistrate, planning consultancy, project / business management, finance and the Local Freemasons.

A number of our members have managed large projects of this nature.

During the project development stage, the board meet at monthly (at least) to steer the project and ensure timescales are met and it is delivered within budget. Once the build is complete the board will continue to meet regularly to monitor progress and measure and track our milestones.

We will appoint a full time project manager once funding is in place, who will report to the board.

We have appointed an architect who has undertaken preliminary design work. He has experience of major schemes, such as the Common Room at Oxford University and sensitive conservation and development at the BBC. We have also appointed other professionals such as a Quantity Surveyor and M&E consultant.

The Directors:

  • Graham Hall - Lead on Project / Business Management.
  • Janet Perry - Local fundraising.
  • Peter Douthwaite - Links to other organisations.
  • Richard Mottram (Treasurer) - Lead on business management / major fund raising.
