Do you share our vision?
We strongly believe that this community led project will provide a much needed hub for all of the community. Through our existing work across the community and from the consultation we have undertaken, we are aware of the need to provide a base for new services and to better support existing networks and groups.
The project is not just about a physical building; more it is about bringing members of our community together, irrespective of their makeup, to foster better links; participation and self-help.
The ‘café hub’ at the heart of the building will provide a meeting point and place for informal information provision; the hall will accommodate many group activities or social events; whilst the smaller flexible hall that is capable of subdivision will provide space for training, meetings and for localised delivery of services. These new services, such as health and education, will either be provided directly or in conjunction with our partner organisations to respond to identified needs.
Our challenge is to open the centre by 2010 so that we can tackle issues facing our community together.
